Conquest of Steel!

A rocking new start to 2012!

Greetings, warriors of steel, and welcome to a most rocking 2012! Now that the alcoholic revelry of steel has subsided, it is time for Conquest to get back into business, and we have done so in many ways:

  • First of all, we have announced some new gigs for you to rock at, so come and see us play!
  • Next, we are again hard at work working on the new tracks we’ve written for the next album. They are sounding like the strongest we’ve ever written — raw, stripped down and rocking. It won’t be too long before we are able to share some early versions.
  • We have also started working on some new merchandise/artwork — watch this space for updates, brothers of steel.

Upcoming gigs

The priest speaks

Christmas was most holy at the tail end of last year, my dear children. My midnight mass was a metal spectacular, with the final communion hymn led by Deicide. Our Christmas meal was an orgy of feasting, with the communion wine switched for scotch. And to top it all off, I took three grams of speed, decapitated a choir boy and made three nuns pregnant. And I got off on bail — don’t you just love the catholic church? \m/

Conquest playing with Guns ‘n’ Roses and Iron Maiden!

Hails to you, metal warriors! The men of Steel have been involved in many daring deeds of Conquest in the last few weeks: read on, and contain your excitement no more!

First of all, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who saw us play in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago, especially the other bands and organisers! We had a rocking good time. Our next gig is Trillians, Newcastle, on the 2nd of December.

Next, we have done some more work on songs for a new album. The new material is looking to be much more back to basics metal than the previous album (Storm Sword), more in the vein of the recent single release (Victorious in Defeat). One track is tentatively titled “Here comes the metal”, and will feature more steel than an army of robots.

Finally, we’d also like to report our big news — The Steel are playing a private event next week, playing above the bill from Guns ‘n’ Roses*, as main support act to Iron Maiden**! The crowds are bound to go wild for this young fresh steel, in the midst of the old established monoliths.

  • * ok, it’s actually Guns2Roses.
  • ** and Higher On Maiden.

Conquest bound for Cambridge!

Greetings metal warriors — I hope you are still rocking hard, with a symposium of steel strafing your eardrums! The men of Steel have been hard at work in the last few weeks. First of all, we very much enjoyed slaying the onlookers at the Bradford Gasworks, along with Let em’ Burn and When Idols Fall! Many metal hails to everyone who came to see us, and to the Mighty Gore Horse for being really quite hilarious.

We have also been writing some new material, for a new album intended for release in the (no so) near future. We will hopefully allow these tracks to see the light of day soon. And we are looking forward to our next couple of gigs, in Cambridge and Newcastle! Trendy unbelievers, fear for your souls.

The priest speaks

The last time a trendy metal non-believer entered my sacred church of steel, I said 10 hail Marys then beat him to death with my cock ring.
